Say hello to Morning in the Grove! This cheerful quilt pattern is inspired by my grandparents and great-grandparents, who packed up their dreams (and probably a few mason jars) and headed to the sunny citrus groves of Southern California in the 1930s. They were chasing better things—and maybe just a little more vitamin D.

Their bold moves remind me that reaching for the next big step (even the scary ones) is how we grow. Just like sewing curves! Yep, this traditionally pieced quilt will ease you into curved piecing—don’t worry, even beginners can handle it. Trust me, it’s not as scary as moving cross-country in the Great Depression.
